William Edgar Borah

The Martin Institute provides administrative support for the William Edgar Borah Outlawry of War Foundation, a separately endowed foundation at the University of Idaho with a mission closely related to that of the Martin Institute. For over fifty years, the Borah Foundation has sponsored an annual program on the general theme of the causes of war and the conditions necessary for a lasting peace. The topics of these programs and their organization are decided by a University of Idaho faculty-student committee, and the Director of the Martin Institute also provides organizational and logistic support to the committee. Click below for more details on the history of the Borah Foundation, a complete list of past programs, and information about upcoming events.
